Your VCH contribution. Tell us what you do at VCH in one sentence:
I am a sports physician and clinical researcher with the orthopedic trauma, urologic sciences, and muscle biophysics at VGH and VCH Research. In my research, I develop cutting-edge clinical diagnostic tools that are non-invasive and use pulses of light to measure changes in circulation, metabolism, and function of different tissues. Known as near-infrared spectroscopy, the technology allows physicians to diagnosis a range of conditions, such as low tissue oxygen levels, muscle fatigue and dysfunction, compartment syndrome, stroke, bladder dysfunction, etc…

One thing that we might be surprised to find out about you:
I have been a sports physician and an official medical officer in 5 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Favourite hobby:
Photography

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Cheese, bread, and cold water

What makes you happy?
Receiving letters that start with: “We are pleased to…”

Most healthy habit:
Daily jogging

Favourite vacation spot or place you’ve visited:
Harrison Hot Springs for weekends and Paris for a long vacation.
