Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I lead regional public health practice improvement as well as regional initiatives in the areas of healthy eating, healthy weights, healthy schools, injury prevention and physical activity. I’m currently leading an initiative called the Healthy Plate. Check it out at vch.ca/healthyplate


What’s your favourite thing about your work?
The neat thing about this position is I am able work with, and learn from, staff from many different programs across VCH, in both community and acute services.


One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I’ve lived on four continents and six different countries in the last 12 years! Canada, Australia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Kenya and Tanzania.


Three things you always have in your fridge:
Broccoli, olives and brie cheese.


What makes you happy?
No matter where in the world, I love spending time outdoors with my family (and whatever friends we can convince to come along).


Most healthy habit:
Being social!


Favourite vacation spot:
Three-way tie between Ton Sai, Thailand; Noosa, Australia; and West Kilimanjaro Plateau, Tanzania.
