How long have you worked at VCH?
6 months

Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
As part of the Transformation team, I am involved in some of the bigger initiatives and challenges that have a transformative impact across VCH.

Currently I am co-leading the development of an Office of Strategy Management which will support a consistent view of strategy across the organization through alignment of our annual planning and budgeting cycles, and continuously monitor our performance to ensure we stay on track and learn from our challenges and successes as we go.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
The VCH culture is one of the main reasons I joined the organization six months ago. In particular, the drive to innovate through collaboration and the openness of communication resonate with my own personal values. I see examples of this at every level of the organization.

I love coming to work every day feeling like I am challenged to do my best and that my contribution is valued. The energy and commitment of our team is exciting and contagious.

How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
In my role, I am involved in designing and managing the system and processes that will ensure all teams across the organization have their compasses pointed in a unified direction – in alignment with our True North goals and objectives.

And I am always considering how we can do this better every day!

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I had the privilege of travelling to Mount Kilimanjaro when I was 16 – and hope to go back and climb it by the time I’m 50.

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Ketchup (I live with three boys. They put ketchup on their ketchup). Snap Peas (nature’s most perfect food). Rosé (for when my sister comes over).

Who or what inspires you?
My boys – David (age 9) and Charlie (age 6)

Most healthy habit:
I take the stairs whenever possible.

Favourite vacation spot:
While I like a nice vacation and break from routine as much as anyone, what I really love is a great adventure! Near or far, it’s too hard to pick a favorite.

That said, I do enjoy Hawaii. Even the kitschy parts. It smells like vacation.

Also, my husband and I spent a month in Italy for our honeymoon. It was an once-in-a-lifetime trip.
