How long have you worked at VCH?
3 months

Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
My role at VCH is to tell the incredible stories of the people who work here and provide exceptional patient-centred care (directly and indirectly) every day. Have a story? Drop me a line.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
My first week here, I covered a story about the Facilities and Maintenance Operations team refurbishing an old shuffleboard that was destined for disposal and donating it to the residents of Banfield. The FMO guys were so thrilled to be giving back. It was truly inspiring.

Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Develop the best workforce

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I’m a musician and I played at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Mini carrots, tzatziki and peanut butter.

Who or what inspires you?
People who are passionate about their lives inspire me. I’ve met writers, performers, clinicians, yoga instructors and so many others who are extremely passionate about who they are, what they do and why they do it. And you know what? It shows and their energy is infectious! 🙂

Most healthy habit:
Eating lots and lots of veggies (as per the mini carrots and tzatziki mentioned above). I always bring a big tub of veggies to work with me for a snack.

Favourite vacation spot:
That’s a toss up. I love the U.K. and Scotland is one of my favourite places on earth. I’ve been multiple times and I have family history there.

However, I love discovering new places too. Last year, I went to Hawaii for the first time. It was incredible! I suppose I’ll just have to go back…you know, so I can give you a definitive answer…
