I diagnose gastrointestinal diseases based on endoscopic tissue biopsies and resection specimens, and I have a particular focus on translational research in pancreatic cancer.

I enjoy the opportunity to ensure the plumbing is maintained for patients’ use, so their stay is as comfortable as possible.

When my kids were growing up I was a professional potter and had my work in 32 galleries at one point.

I try to present a positive attitude and convey deep respect and pride for the role of nursing in health care: both in the orientation of new nurses and when planning for professional development of the nursing staff.

I support Vancouver Community Managers and Workplace Health by providing labour relations advice on a variety of workplace issues; this includes building relationships with union representatives, navigating collective agreement terms and conditions, and facilitating respectful workplace practices.

My goal is to improve the delivery and continuity of care from the pre-hospital field, linking British Columbia Ambulance Service’s AirEvac and Critical Care Operations, with our tertiary-care-level services in the Departments of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.

Everyday of my VCH life, I am surrounded by amazing Volunteers – working here day and night out of the kindness of their hearts. It truly brings joy and meaningfulness to my job.

I see patients in the Emergency Department, and do research on using modern communication technologies such as mobile phones and social media to improve how health care is delivered, or eHealth.

I’ve been with the organization for 23 years, since starting on December 6th 1988. Now I will be retiring to make time for gardening, travel and my grandchildren. I’m going to miss serving the clients and working with the volunteers because I truly love my job!
