On the first anniversary of the program, the MedRec project team share a few patient stories of “good catches” by staff and physicians following the appropriate protocol and collecting a Best Possible Medication History for their patients on admission.

VCH staff on the Sunshine Coast are teaching younger generations about where their food comes from – and they’re starting from the ground up.

The staff at the Totem Lodge residential care facility, next to St. Mary’s Hospital, are providing more food options and customized portion sizes for the close to 50 senior residents living at the facility.

When Lions Gate Hospital’s Dawn Daechsel chose to retire early from her position as Manager of the Neurosciences Program, the Inpatient Rehabilitation and Wound Ostomy Care Programs she wanted to do it in the same quiet way that she’s done so many things over her almost-30-year tenure at LGH.

There are 575 North Shore volunteers representing 2,376 years of service to VCH acute, residential care, assisted living, palliative care, hospice and community programs.
