Valentine’s Day is just a few days away. Stop by the vendor tables at Richmond Hospital to select a thoughtful gift from jewelry to tuperware to sweet (or savory) treats. They have something for everyone and partial proceeds are reinvested into healthcare.

Keep up the good work! There was a 6.4% reduction in electricity use across VCH in 2011/2012, as well as a 4.9% reduction in natural gas. That’s equivalent to 2000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions . . . or the equivalent of what is produced by over 400 cars in a year! The “Turn it Off” campaign has returned to build on this success. Organizers remind staff to turn off and unplug whenever and wherever possible.

Customer Appreciation Days will take place the final Wednesday of each month with the first one on Wednesday, February 27th.

For the eleventh year, White Spot, Richmond Centre was open for a special Christmas lunch with all staff time, tips and net proceeds being graciously donated to Richmond Hospital Foundation. $10,028 was raised this year.

Fourteen vendors will be visiting Richmond Hospital next month . . . and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. How convenient is that?
