The Staff Payroll Payoff is a 50/50 lottery managed by the Richmond Hospital Foundation and is open to all regular full and part-time VCH employees who work in Richmond.

Work will begin on June 27th to convert two of the hospital’s operating rooms into Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) suites. The conversion is expected to be completed by early September.

Money raised through the Fund-A-Need segment of the Foundation’s 2013 Golf Tournament will go towards replacing the Pulmonary Function Laboratory’s aging “Breathing Box,” a vital tool to help assess, diagnose and treat lung disease.

In the next few weeks an RFP will be issued as we enter the design phase of the atrium renovations. This follows a series of meetings and presentations to gather feedback from more than 60 staff members, volunteers, and physicians.

As part of this latest education program, 11Champions coordinated improvement projects that increased hand hygiene compliance by 10-25%, introduced Standard Operating Procedures for safe scope handling and turnaround that reduced errors and frustration; and developed new standards and a framework for patients needing constant care.

In mid-July 2013, crews will begin repaving Russ Baker Way, between Miller Road and the North end of the No. 2 Road Bridge in Richmond. Work is expected to take between 10 and 12 weeks to complete, and motorists are encourage to allow extra time for travel or find an alternate route.
